When does your installation need testing?

BS 7671 suggests all installations require testing over certain periods of time. Domestic premises require testing at the change of occupancy or every 10 years, every 5 years for commercial installations (unless recommended otherwise) and 3 years for industrial premises. How do we price this?

Each electrical contractor has different pricing based on which package a customer chooses, how long they’ve used said contractor and how many circuits there are in your premise. Electrician rates can vary depending on the longevity of the job and the amount of staff required for the works.
