At AEL, we have equipped our apprentice-trained electricians with additional skills, enabling them to perform all of the above services in a single visit.

This means one vehicle for transportation, reducing costs and eliminating confusion about what needs testing and when. You’ll only need to raise receive one purchase order, receive one invoice, and all your certificates will be stored on your personal online portal for easy access.

Testing frequently asked questions

Do I have to utilise all the services?

No, you can select any combination of our services. However, for maximum simplicity and cost-effectiveness, opting for all six services is most beneficial.
What is Thermal Imaging?

Thermal imaging is increasingly being requested by insurance providers. This technology captures thermal images of your distribution boards to identify ‘hot spots’ that could lead to breakdowns or fires. These issues may not be detected through standard Fixed Wire Testing.
We're a startup. Can you guide us on what we need?

Absolutely, we can assess your current situation and provide recommendations. If a Fire Risk Assessment is necessary, we can assist with that through our partners as well.
How frequently should my fire alarm be tested?

Fire alarms require testing every six months, with weekly tests also needed. We can manage all these tests and establish a testing regimen tailored for one of your staff members to carry out the simple tests.
What if we require new emergency lights or smoke detectors?

We provide a complete maintenance service. Whether you need to replace a double socket, fire extinguisher, emergency light, or fire alarm component, our engineers are ready to assist.
I’m currently under contract with another service provider but I am interested in your package. Can you handle everything else while we wait for that contract to end?

Certainly! We can initiate with a smaller package and expand our services as your contract with other providers concludes.
What certifications do you hold for your work?

We are proud to be NICEIC and BAFE approved contractors, and we are also registered with Constructionline and CHAS.
Do you dispose of old fire extinguishers?

Yes, we handle that as well. We possess a waste carrier’s license to transport them back to our facility, where certified contractors responsibly empty their contents and recycle the main body.
