Fixed wire testing frequently asked questions

If it requires electricity, it likely needs testing. Note that CCTV, data, and other low voltage circuits are typically excluded. To clarify what needs testing, give us a call today.

  • How frequently should testing be conducted?

The frequency of testing varies based on the type of premises—domestic, commercial, or industrial—as well as specific environments like construction sites. Contact AEL, and our engineer will provide you with the necessary guidance.

  • Is it necessary to turn off the power for testing?

Yes, testing usually requires a power shutdown. We understand that this may not always be feasible, and we will do our best to minimise any disruption during the process.
